Bradley M. Cosgrove2941286.jpg

Bradley M. Cosgrove was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago in the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood area. His brother, father and great grandfather were Chicago Firefighters.

Brad received a scholarship as a collegiate swimmer and graduated from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He moved on to receive an academic scholarship to the John Marshall Law School where he honed his skills as a trial lawyer in the area of personal injury. While in law school, Cosgrove was a member of a trial team that won the Chicago-region trial competition and finished as a semi-finalist in the American Trial Lawyers Association's Trial Competition in Miami, Florida.

Since being licensed to practice law Brad has earned a reputation as being a fair, tough and successful advocate. Just one day after receiving his license to practice law, Brad began his first jury trial for a woman injured in a car accident. From that point forward Brad has been focused on preparing cases for jury trial. Within 5 months after being sworn in as a lawyer, Brad Cosgrove became the youngest lawyer in Illinois history to obtain a verdict in excess of $1,000,000.00. That trial was on behalf of a family who lost their father in a trucking accident. Three hours after closing arguments finished a jury returned a total verdict of $3,000,000.00.

Recently, Brad represented the estate of a woman who died because of medical malpractice. The jury returned a $1,000,000 verdict, and Brad became one of the youngest, if not the youngest, lawyer in Illinois history to have received two seven-figure verdicts.

Brad’s professional career has been dedicated to helping injured victims receive compensation for injuries resulting from the negligence of drivers, doctors, nurses and manufacturers. He has been successful in both settling and trying cases throughout Illinois in Cook County, Will County, DuPage County, Lake County, Kankakee County and Kendall County.

Mr. Cosgrove has also been asked to lecture at the John Marshall Law School regarding the use of expert witnesses and trial practice.

Brad is also a member of the Federal Trial Bar.

Brad has also had the opportunity to argue before various branches of the Illinois Appellate Court in catastrophic injury and death cases.
